‘A ‘SOCIAL supermarket’ which is helping to tackle food poverty across Keighley has seen demand for its services soar.
The Good Food Shop, in the Airedale Shopping Centre, stocks a range of food items and other essential products.
People are referred to the project by support agencies and schools.
Co-ordinator Steve Sprange says around 180 customers use the shop on a regular basis – compared to 85 in 2021 and 163 a year ago.
Opening hours have been extended, to 10am-3pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.’
