At Keighley Shared Church we aim to be a sign of the love and faithfulness of God in our local community. Visitors and newcomers are welcome to join us at any of our services or regular activities.
Anglicans and Methodists worship at this church, with the services able to draw on the richness of both traditions.
Public worship is emerging again after the Covid-19 pandemic lock-down. Social distancing, careful hygiene and other restrictions are in place but a single Sunday morning service is back at 10:30am each Sunday.
Here’s a description of what was previously going on to give a taste of life at KSC.
9.15am Sunday Service
Anglicans and Methodists belong to this congregation, and on alternate weeks the service is either an Anglican-led Holy communion or Methodist led worship. This service uses both traditions to enrich the shared experience of worship. Traditional and contemporary hymns are sung, and the service lasts about an hour.
10.45am Sunday Service
This is a lively informal Anglican service, with music led by a band. The relaxed style makes it family friendly. Activities for children are run during term times for ages from 2-5yrs, 5-8yrs, 8-11yrs and 11-14yrs. The service lasts about an hour, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
